Sending Direct Messages to Individual Students¶
How to send: 1. Go to Student Management 2. Click on a student's card 3. Click "Send Message" from their action menu 4. Write your message: - Title/Subject: Short label (e.g., "Great work this week!") - Message body: Your note (can be 1-2 sentences or several paragraphs) 5. Click "Send"
What happens: - Message appears in the student's dashboard as a notification - They may receive an email alert (depending on their notification settings) - Message is logged in your communication history with that student
When to use direct messages: - Celebrate a baseline improvement or milestone - Check in if they haven't practiced in a while - Provide encouragement before a performance or audition - Answer a question they asked - Give feedback on their progress
Example messages: - "I saw you hit a baseline improvement in pitch accuracy yesterday — that's awesome! Your practice is really paying off." - "I noticed you haven't practiced in about 10 days. Everything okay? Let me know if you need help or want to adjust your exercises." - "Your timing precision has been climbing steadily for a month. Whatever you're doing with your metronome work, keep it up!"
