Common Questions About Exercises¶
Q: Can students see all exercises in the library, or just what I assign? A: Students can browse the full Exercise Library on their own. However, you control their Practice Plan — the curated list of exercises you want them to focus on. Think of the library as the full menu; the practice plan is the meal you've selected for them.
Q: What happens if I delete a custom exercise that students have already recorded? A: The exercise itself is deleted (they can't practice it anymore), but their historical recordings and analytics data remain intact. You won't lose their progress data.
Q: Can I edit an exercise after I've assigned it? A: You can edit the title, description, and tags anytime. If you need to change the actual audio or pattern (key, tempo, etc.), you'll need to regenerate it, which creates a new version. Students' progress on the old version stays with the old version.
Q: Can students create their own exercises? A: Not through the Exercise Builder — that's a teacher-only tool. Students practice the exercises you assign or choose from the library.
Q: How many custom exercises can I create? A: This depends on your subscription plan. Check your account details or plan features for limits. Most teachers have enough quota that they never hit the limit.
Q: Can I share custom exercises with other teachers? A: Currently, custom exercises are private to your teacher account. If you want another teacher to have one of your exercises, you'll need to share the parameters so they can rebuild it (or check if your platform version has a sharing feature).
Q: What if an exercise is too hard or too easy for my student? A: Reassign something more appropriate! There's no penalty for unassigning exercises. The Q-Orb data from attempts they already made is still there if you ever want to reference it.
