Managing Your Subscription¶
EchoVQ offers subscription plans for teachers. This section covers how to view your plan, upgrade, manage billing, and handle subscription changes.
Viewing Your Current Plan¶
How to check: 1. Go to Settings → Subscription (or "Manage Subscription") 2. You'll see: - Current plan: Name of your plan (e.g., "Teacher Plan," "Early Supporter Pass") - Billing cycle: Monthly or yearly - Next billing date: When you'll be charged next - Plan features: What's included (number of students, custom exercises limit, analytics access, etc.) - Payment history: Recent transactions
Subscription Plans for Teachers¶
EchoVQ typically offers several teacher plans:
Common plan tiers:
Free/Trial Plan (if available): - Limited students (e.g., 1-3) - Limited custom exercises - Basic analytics - Good for testing the platform
Teacher Plan (Standard): - Unlimited students (or high limit like 50-100) - Custom exercise builder - Full analytics and insights - Priority support - Monthly or yearly billing
Early Supporter Pass (Promotional): - Discounted long-term commitment (e.g., 24 months) - All premium features - Locked-in rate
Enterprise/Studio Plan (if available): - Multiple teachers - Shared student management - Advanced admin features - Custom pricing
What's included across plans: - Access to Exercise Library - Q-Orb analysis for all student recordings - Practice activity tracking - Messaging and notifications - Public teacher profile
Upgrading or Changing Plans¶
How to upgrade: 1. Go to Subscription 2. Click "Upgrade Plan" or "Change Plan" 3. View available plans with features and pricing 4. Select the plan you want 5. Choose billing interval (monthly or yearly — yearly often offers discount) 6. Click "Upgrade" or "Subscribe" 7. Complete payment (Stripe checkout)
What happens: - Your new plan activates immediately or at the next billing cycle (depends on platform rules) - You'll be charged the new rate - You gain access to upgraded features
Managing Payment Information¶
How to update payment: 1. Go to Subscription → Payment Methods 2. Click "Update Payment Method" 3. Enter new card details 4. Save
Why update: - Expired card - New credit card - Switching payment methods
Canceling Your Subscription¶
If you need to cancel (students graduating, taking a break, etc.):
How to cancel: 1. Go to Subscription 2. Click "Cancel Subscription" (usually at the bottom) 3. Confirm cancellation 4. Optionally provide feedback (why are you canceling?)
What happens: - Your subscription remains active until the end of the current billing period - You won't be charged again - At the end of the period, your access downgrades to a free tier (if available) or becomes read-only - Your data (students, exercises, analytics) is preserved — you don't lose anything
Can you re-subscribe later? Yes! You can reactivate anytime by choosing a plan and re-subscribing.
Subscription Best Practices¶
1. Choose Yearly if You're Committed¶
Yearly billing usually offers 15-20% savings vs. monthly. If you're serious about EchoVQ, it's worth it.
2. Email Verification Required for Checkout¶
Most platforms require a verified email before you can subscribe. If you hit a blocker, check your inbox for a verification email.
3. Review Features Before Upgrading¶
Make sure the upgraded plan includes features you'll actually use. Don't pay for enterprise features if you're a solo teacher.
4. Track Your Usage¶
Some plans have limits (student count, custom exercise quota). Monitor your usage to avoid hitting caps.
5. Contact Support for Custom Needs¶
If you need something special (e.g., studio-wide account, volume discount), use the "Contact Sales" or "Contact Support" option.
